Jerry Bruckheimer has been a part of some of the most influential blockbusters in film history. TOP GUN, ARMAGEDEDDON, THE ROCK, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN are only a few titles from his incredible history in Hollywood. And now, the legendary producer is taking on horror with the demonic thriller DELIVER US FROM EVIL. With Scott Derrickson in the director’s chair and Eric Bana taking the lead, he is trading in the big guns for a good old-fashioned scary movie.
To say that sitting across from Jerry Bruckheimer is a little intimidating is a massive understatement. Yet it was a little easier than you’d think once the conversation began. While he has a number of features on his plate – including another TOP GUN – he was excited to chat about his venture into darker territory. He talked about EVIL being based on a true story being part of his interest in taking it on. As well, not surprisingly, he wouldn’t mind returning to this particular story and character depending on its box office success.
