Even the most hardened killers have a gooey center, proving they aren’t just stone-cold killers. The same can be said for Sam Worthington’s Stephen Lucas, a man who was hired to kill a young woman (Odeya Rush) but decided to protect her instead in the movie THE HUNTER’S PRAYER. Mostow is a capable action director, and the scene here looks tightly directed with Worthington looking appropriately tough and cool as the story’s hero. The movie on the whole could be a great flick for action junkies who are on the lookout for stories about hitmen looking at a shot at redemption. In the end, isn’t that what we’re all looking for?
