Yesterday we brought along the promo teaser for FRANKENSTEIN’S ARMY, a project from Richard Raaphorst that has been a long time in the making. Evidently, it caught the attention of some very important people – other than us – because the teaser is set to become an honest-to-goodness feature film someday soon.

According to Screen Daily, MPI Media Group, LA-based XYZ Films and Amsterdam’s Pellicola will jointly produce Raaphorst’s story, which like the short trailer will ponder what would have happened if Adolf Hitler had used the writings of one Victor Frankenstein to help salvage the German army toward the end of WWII.

MPI’s Greg Newman, in announcing the production, said: “We are excited to be partnered with XYZ Films and Pellicola in bringing to the screen the next work by one of the truly remarkable filmmakers working today. If the worldwide public clamor for Worst Case Scenario is any indication, Richard’s startling vision for FRANKENSTEIN’S ARMY will thrill viewers everywhere.”

Let’s hope this comes together soon; could become one of our most anticipated in-development horror projects!
