If you were a child of the eighties, you grew up obsessed with Ghostbusters. The movie was such an unexpected smash that the toys the studio should have ordered to coincide with its release took two years to come out, and wound up being tie-ins with the popular kids animated series The Real Ghostbusters. They had everything – the Ecto-1, proton packs, P.K.E Meters, Slimer (with real slime), the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man – and kids ate it up. But that was just the beginning of a merchandising bonanza that's yet to die down, with new collectibles and toys being released every year, especially with a new Ghostbusters movie coming. Already the Ghostbusters Afterlife trailer reaction seems overwhelmingly positive so more toys are definitely on the horizon! So join us on this walk down memory lane as we check out all the best toys from the original run, as well as some cool new collectibles you can add to your collection today!
