Go dick-picking with the international trailer for Hot Tub Time Machine 2

HOT TUB TIME MACHINE was a sleeper hit of the minor variety. The original grossed $61 million on a $36 million budget while having a popularity boom when it hit DVD. In Hollywood speak, that means a sequel is warranted even though star John Cusack declined a return. That makes the sequel even cheaper to make.

The red band trailer for HOT TUB TIME MACHINE 2 was pretty funny and now we have a new international trailer giving some new footage from the time travel sequel. The profanity is gone here but we get a deeper look into the shenanigans the characters get into as they track back to and from the future.

Nick (Craig Robinson) and Jacob (Clark Duke) use the time traveling hot tub to try and get back to the past after Lou (Rob Corddry) gets in trouble, but they inadvertently end up ten years in the future, which they must alter if they want to save their present-day environment.

While it may be a tad predictable, I like the leads and the inclusion of Adam Scott. This is definitely not a movie that plays well when edited for general audiences, but this trailer is still pretty funny. If anything, I am intrigued enough to see how the time travel aspect of the plot works out. Being a comedy, they may not be as inclined to focus on the paradoxes in time travel, but hopefully we get enough dick jokes to cover that up.

HOT TUB TIME MACHINE 2 is slated to hit theaters on February 20, 2015.
