Goldie Hawn may star alongside Amy Schumer in mother-daughter comedy

Although Goldie Hawn has been attached to a couple of different projects and lent her voice for an episode of Phineas and Ferb, the Oscar-winning actress hasn't appeared on the big or small screen since 2002's THE BANGER SISTERS. But the word from Vulture's Kyle Buchanan (which was later confirmed by The Wrap) is that Hawn is in talks to star opposite Amy Schumer in an untitled comedy feature. Hawn is in negotiations to play the mother to Schumer's character.

It sounds like the project, which will "follow a family vacation gone wrong," is the same one Schumer set up in May of last year. Although it was previously reported that Paul Feig would direct, it will be helmed by 50/50 and THE NIGHT BEFORE's Jonathan Levine, with Feig producing through his Feigco banner. Katie Dippold (THE HEAT, Feig's GHOSTBUSTERS reboot) penned the script for the planned movie, which is inspired by the screenwriter's relationship with her mother.

We'll have to wait and see if Hawn does officially sign on for the comedy, but are you excited that she might be heading back to the silver screen?
