Gore Verbinski lines up 3 new projects, including Steve Carell thriller

Gore Verbinski Steve Carell A Cure For Wellness Passengers Banner

Back in April, Gore Verbinski signed a multiyear deal between New Regency and his Blind Wink Productions, and the first three movies from that deal have been announced.

Deadline is reporting first Verbinski will direct an untitled paranoid thriller from a script by Steve Conrad (THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY, THE WEATHER MAN), and it will star Steve Carell. Production on it will begin in March of next year, and then the director will shoot his next two films back-to-back. One is a horror movie called A CURE FOR WELLNESS that was written by Justin Haythe (REVOLUTIONARY ROAD, THE LONE RANGER), and the other is PASSENGERS, a large-scale action comedy that was also penned by Steve Conrad.

I'm glad to see Gore Verbinski is going to be busy for a while. He's a fantastic director, and I'm definitely interested in checking out all three of his upcoming movies. I really want to know more about A CURE FOR WELLNESS, since the last time Verbinski was behind the camera for a horror movie, we got the very excellent THE RING remake.

Which new Gore Verbinski project are you the most interested in seeing?
