Telling the story of a family's complicated love, this hilarious and heart-rending film is an intimate portrayal of Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds' relationship and the eccentricity of Hollywood royalty. You can see the trailer for the HBO documentary BRIGHT LIGHTS below.

"Unfortunate" is really under-selling the circumstances in which both Carrie Fisher and her mother, Debbie Reynolds, passed. Given that it was within one day of each other, there's no doubts that they were very close (as we can see in the trailer above). BRIGHT LIGHTS looks like it's going to be a very bittersweet farewell to Hollywood royalty. They certainly deserve no less.

BRIGHT LIGHTS: STARRING CARRIE FISHER AND DEBBIE REYNOLDS premieres Saturday, January 7 at 8PM, only on HBO.
