Bill Paxton joins Larry Fishburne & Kevin Zegers in eco-cannibal film The Colony

F*ck yeah…Paxton and Fishburne in the same flick…time to party like it’s 1989!

While I rack my brain for a past film that starred both, I’ll have you know Pax (above) and Fish are set to join male lead Kevin Zegers in the eco-cannibal flick THE COLONY. The $16 million sci-fi thriller, from co-writer/director Jeff Renfroe, is set to film in Toronto through March.

Co-written by Patrick Tarr and Pascal Trottier:

THE COLONY is a sci-fi thriller about a group of underground survivors after the next Ice Age fending off an invasion of feral cannibals.

I’m loving the sound of this one, as it sounds like THE GREY with cannibals. Awesome actors doing rigorous work in inclement weather is always a blast, I just hope Renfroe plays it straight, not hackneyed and generic. Again, THE GREY could be a good template.

Until we hear more on THE COLONY, how do you like the casting so far? As pumped as I?
