Charles Bronson look-alike takes on a slasher in Cry Havoc trailer

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

In recent years, director Rene Perez has been building his own slasher franchise with 2015's PLAYING WITH DOLLS, 2016's PLAYING WITH DOLLS: BLOODLUST, and 2017's PLAYING WITH DOLLS: HAVOC. Perez has also worked with Charles Bronson look-alike Robert "Bronzi" Kovacs on a few films – the Jack the Ripper Western FROM HELL TO THE WILD WEST, the DEATH WISH-esque DEATH KISS, and the Western ONCE UPON A TIME IN DEADWOOD, which has a set-up reminiscent of the 1949 film noir D.O.A. Now Perez is combining those two branches of his career with CRY HAVOC, the fourth film in the PLAYING WITH DOLLS series, putting a character played by Bronzi up against PLAYING WITH DOLLS villains The Voyeur (Richard Tyson) and Havoc (J.D. Angstadt).

Midnight Releasing will be giving CRY HAVOC a VOD release on May 5th, and the film's trailer is embedded above.

Scripted by Perez, CRY HAVOC has the following synopsis:

An ambitious young reporter is granted an interview with one of the FBI’s most wanted. While entering his compound she finds one of his prized possessions, a serial killer who murders at call, called HAVOC. Her only hope is a rogue police man searching for his daughter.

Emily Sweet co-stars with Bronzi, Tyson, and Angstadt. Sweet and Tyson were also associate producers on the film, which was produced by Kasey Dollar and executive produced by Danit Dollar.

If you're already a fan of Bronzi and/or PLAYING WITH DOLLS, you were probably sold on this one as soon as it was announced. If you need to know a little more, check out the trailer and see if this looks like a movie you'll want to watch next month.
