Chris Nolan’s Inception lands MPAA rating & French quad poster

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

You guys tiring of all the new INCEPTION goodies we’ve seen the past three weeks? Me neither!

In fact, if there’s one flick coming out this summer I’d have zero qualms about plugging on the daily, it’s Nolan’s mind-boggling dreamscape. After all, not only is Nolan one of the preeminent filmmakers of his generation, dude tackles subject matter that genuinely intrigues. Not to mention the latest A-list ensemble he’s assembled, which includes the likes of Michael Caine, Cillian Murphy, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy, Lukas Haas and some cat named Leo. Like I say, it’s hard to tire of this mofo!

But if there’s one are that may cause concern is the official MPAA rating for the flick, which just crossed the wire last night. And while I can’t say I’m too shocked by its codification, you still may find the following a bit disconcerting: INCEPTION will be rated PG-13 for “sequences of violence and action throughout.” For those who just saw their panties twist up in light of this news, for you I have three words: THE DARK KNIGHT!

But that’s not all the news we have for you today on the INCEPTION front. Nope. We’ve actually got a fresh quad poster out of France that’s worth giving a look over. It shows the backside of Leo (sorry ladies, covered), knee deep in water, brandishing what looks to be a gun. Of course, those ubiquitous skyscrapers are present, this time in the corners of the frame, looking just as foreboding as some of the others we’ve seen. Take a look below and give us your gut reaction.

INCEPTION goes wide in the states July 16th, July 21st in France.

Synopsis: INCEPTION stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a specialist in the new branch of corporate espionage — he’s a dream thief who plucks secrets from the minds of tycoons after pumping them full of drugs and hooking them up to a mysterious contraption. The problem, though, is the land of nod can be volatile — as can Leonardo DiCaprio’s character, Dom Cobb, who is a wounded dreamer after the loss of his beloved wife.
