First Look: Radio Silence’s Ready or Not starring Samara Weaving

This August, Disney will unleash Radio Silence's new horror movie READY OR NOT starring Samara Weaving (ASH VS EVIL DEAD, MAYHEM), Andie MacDowell (SEX, LIES, AND VIDEOTAPE), and Adam Brody (JENNIFER'S BODY) into a theater near you. And today we have your first look at the upcoming film. The first look comes to us via an official still from the movie, which features Weaving holding up a card that says "Hide and Seek."

Interesting, no?

Typical I'd say no, but considering that Radio silence (V/H/S, DEVIL'S DUE, SOUTHBOUND) is behind this new film this still is very intriguing. Plus you've got to love the addition of Weaving in the cast. After all, the actress – who has appeared in genre projects such as the above-mentioned ASH VS EVIL DEAD and MAYHEM but also THE BABYSITTER – has more than proved herself as a worthy scream queen by this point in time.  READY OR NOT follows the tale of 

a young bride (Samara Weaving) as she joins her new husband's (Mark O'Brien) rich, eccentric family (Adam Brody, Henry Czerny, Andie MacDowell) in a time-honored tradition that turns into a lethal game with everyone fighting for their survival.

The film is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett from a screenplay written by Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy. Bradley J. Fischer, Willem Sherak, James Vanderbilt, and Tripp Vinson produced the movie which stars Samara Weaving, Andie MacDowell, Adam Brody, Mark O'Brien, Henry Czerny, and Elyse Levesque. Chad Villella, Tara Farney, Tracey Nyberg, and Daniel Bekerman are the executive producers on the motion picture. Fox Searchlight Pictures, Mythology Entertainment, and Vinson Films are behind the flick which Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures will distribute into a theater near you on August 23, 2019.
