Geraldine Chaplin

The daughter of the legendary Charlie Chaplin, Geraldine Chaplin has an entertainment career of her own that stretches back to the 1950s, beginning with her father's movie LIMELIGHT. She has accrued many acting credits over the decades, performing in English, French, and Spanish films. She even played her own grandmother in the 1992 biopic CHAPLIN.

Among Chaplin's credits are roles in every feature film director J.A. Bayona has made – THE ORPHANAGE, THE IMPOSSIBLE, and A MONSTER CALLS.

Bayona is now in production on the sequel to 2015's JURASSIC WORLD, working from a screenplay by that film's director Colin Trevorrow and co-writer Derek Connolly. This is by far Bayona's largest project to date, and it's not going to break his streak of collaborations with Chaplin. He's bringing the actress along with him.

Bayona announced Chaplin's involvement with JURASSIC WORLD 2 (as we're calling it for now) with a tweet that can be seen below.

Chaplin joins a cast that includes Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Daniella Pineda, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, Ted Levine, and James Cromwell.

It's cool that Bayona is putting Chaplin in JURASSIC WORLD 2, but what makes this bit of casting all the better is the fact that this film marks her 150th acting credit.
