Horror Expendables film Death House getting a 100 screen release

Death House Kane Hodder

A lot of filmmakers these days are out to make their movies a horror version of THE EXPENDABLES, attempting to pack as many genre regulars and icons into the cast as possible. Looking over the cast of writer/director Harrison Smith's film DEATH HOUSE, it's clear that this is definitely a movie that could be described as "the horror EXPENDABLES".

The stars of DEATH HOUSE include Kane Hodder, Michael Berryman, Barbara Crampton, Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, Tony Todd, Dee Wallace, Felissa Rose, Vernon Wells, R.A. Mihailoff, Camille Keaton, Danny Trejo, Lloyd Kaufman, Adrienne Barbeau, Cody Longo, and Cortney Palm. The icons involved weren't just in front of the camera, either. The story of DEATH HOUSE was crafted by the late Gunnar Hansen, the original Leatherface.

That story:

Two federal agents fight their way through nine levels of Hell inside a secret prison known as the Death House. A facility-wide prison break turns their flight into a tour of horrors as they push toward the ultimate evil housed in the lowest depths of the earth.

It has now been announced that DEATH HOUSE will be getting a theatrical release in just a few months - the movie will be playing on 100 screens across the United States, exclusively in Regal Cinemas.

The trailer looks cool and I'm a fan of pretty much everyone in the cast, so I'm definitely looking forward to checking out DEATH HOUSE. If you're on board to see it as well, you'll have your chance to catch it on the big screen when it starts playing at Regal Cinemas on January 26, 2018.
