New Leatherface poster is a drag

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Last week that we shared the first (official) poster for the upcoming TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE prequel LEATHERFACE and I wasn’t the biggest fan of the piece. Poorly photoshopped the poster (which you can peep, again, below) did little to make me want to see the film. Not that I’m not already counting down the days, but still.

And sorry to say, but this all-new poster – courtesy of iHorror – isn’t much better.

I don’t get it. I really don’t. But all the same, the movie doesn’t really even NEED a poster to get all of us horror-hounds on the bandwagon to Cannibal town. They had us at Texas Chainsaw Massacre-prequel.

These posters are designed especially for the masses huddled around their local Redboxes and, as I said in the previous post, the marketing team no doubt knows exactly what they’re doing.

What do you think of this new poster for LEATHERFACE? What did you think of the one from last week? Make sure to hit us up on social media and let us know on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

LEATHERFACE synopsis:

In Texas, years before the events of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, in the early days of the infamous Sawyer family, the youngest child is sentenced to a mental hospital after a suspicious incident leaves the sheriffs’ daughter dead. Ten years later, he kidnaps a young nurse and escapes with 3 other inmates. Pursued by authorities including the deranged sheriff out to avenge his daughter’s death, the young Sawyer teen goes on a violent road trip from hell, molding him into the monster known now as Leatherface.

LEATHERFACE stars Stephen Dorff, Lili Taylor, Vanessa Grasse, Sam Strike, Jessica Madsen, Finn Jones, James Bloor, Nicole Andrews, Julian Kostov, and Sam Coleman.

LEATHERFACE hits exclusively through DirecTV September 21st, with a wider VOD and limited theatrical release on October 20th.
