Nice! Bill & Ted 3 casts the duo’s daughters including Samara Weaving

The third BILL & TED movie, BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC will head into production this summer filming in New Orleans for an August 2020 release. Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter will reunite after 27 years as Ted “Theodore” Logan (Reeves) and Bill S. Preston Esq. (Winter) in the new film along with William Sadler back as Death! And if all that wasn't enough for you, today we have word that Samara Weaving (see below) is set to star as Bill (Alex Winters) daughter Thea Preston, while Brigette Lundy-Paine (see above) will join her as Ted's (Keanu Reeves) daughter Billie Logan.

Producer Scott Kroopf said in an official statement:

When we saw Samara and Brigette together, it was like deja vu. It was exactly the way we felt when we first saw Keanu and Alex. We are so thrilled to have this funny and unique pair join the Bill and Ted team!

Lundy-Paine is best known for role in Netflix's Atypical and kind of unknown in the realms of horror. Weaving one the other hand is one of horror's up-and-coming gems with roles in projects such as THE BABYSITTER, MAYHEM, and a bit part in the first season of ASH VS EVIL DEAD. 

 BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC follows this synopsis:

When we last met Bill and Ted they were time-traveling teenagers trying to pass history class and win the battle of the bands. Once prophesized to save the universe with their rock and roll, middle age and the responsibilities of family have caught up with these two best friends who have not yet fulfilled their destiny. They’ve written thousands of tunes, but they have yet to write a good one, much less the greatest song ever written. With the fabric of time and space tearing around them, a visitor from the future warns our heroes that only their song can save life as we know it. Out of luck and fresh out of inspiration, Bill and Ted set out on a time travel adventure to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe as we know it. Together with the aid of their daughters, a new crop of historical figures, and some sympathetic music legends, Bill and Ted find much, much more than just a song. 

The new film is directed by Dean Parisot (GALAXY QUEST) from a screenplay written by the franchise's original creators Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. BILL & TED 3 starring Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, Samara Weaving, Brigette Lundy-Paine and William Sadler hits on August 21, 2020.
