SHAUN OF THE DEAD director Edgar Wright recently revealed the exciting news that he is going to make a "straight-up psychological horror thriller" in the vein of DON'T LOOK NOW and REPULSION. Soon after came the announcement that the project is titled LAST NIGHT IN SOHO and it will star Anya Taylor-Joy of THE WITCH and SPLIT.

Details on the plot are being kept under wraps, but we do know that Wright wrote the script with Krysty Wilson-Cairns. This is all he has said about it:

I realised I had never made a film about central London – specifically Soho, somewhere I've spent a huge amount of time in the last 25 years. With Hot Fuzz and Shaun Of The Dead you make movies about places you've lived in. This movie is about the London I’ve existed in."

With a summer production start approaching, Wright has now found two more cast members for the film. Joining Taylor-Joy are former Doctor Who star Matt Smith (you might have also seen him in TERMINATOR: GENISYS) and Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie, whose credits include LEAVE NO TRACE (pictured above), THE CHANGEOVER, and THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES.

Of course, LAST NIGHT IN SOHO is shrouded in so much secrecy that we also don't know anything about the characters in it.

The film is being co-financed by Focus Features and Film4. Wright is producing with Nira Park, Tim Bevan, and Eric Fellner. Focus Features and Universal Pictures International will be handling the distribution.
