The real trailer for Eli Roth-produced Clown is here and it’s creepy!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Surely you remember CLOWN, the fake trailer that purported to be for a real horror movie produced by Eli Roth? The trailer was so effective that Roth himself saw it and agreed to produce an actual feature of the tale – surely any parody trailer creator’s dream. Well, now we’ve got a look at the real thing; and you’ll definitely want to stay away if you’re afraid of those face-painted bastards.

CLOWN was directed by Jon Watts and stars Andy Powers, Peter Stormare, Laura Allen and Elizabeth Whitmere. Here’s all you need to know about the plot:

A loving father finds a clown suit for his son’s birthday party, only to realize the suit is part of an evil curse that turns its wearer into a killer.

CLOWN will be release by Dimension Films at some point this year; whether or not it gets a theatrical showing remains to be seen.
