Watch Gotham burn on the new banner for The Dark Knight Rises

While the folks behind THE DARK KNIGHT RISES seem to have viral marketing down pat, other promotional materials for the film have been pretty all over the place. This newly released banner poster depicting Tom Hardy’s Bane against a burning Gotham is pretty sleek, though. Check it out below.

UPDATE: As some of our readers were quick to point out, the banner is indeed fan made.

When Commissioner Gordon stumbles upon a plot to destroy the city from within, Bruce Wayne gets back into action as the Batman. Waiting for him is the mysterious Selina Kyle and Bane, a lethal adversary on a crusade to tear apart Batman’s legacy piece by piece.

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES on July 20th with a cast that includes Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway (below), Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Josh Stewart, Matthew Modine and Juno Temple.
