It’s all about want in this trailer for Twelve from Joel Schumacher

If your first encounter with TWELVE was the poster, you may become automatically disinterested. There’s that Chance Crawford guy who just got busted for marijuana possession, 50 Cent (or Curtis Jackson), and Emma Roberts all just staring with what would seem to be massive amounts of concern. On top of all this, you learn that Joel Schumacher helmed the film.

Are you still with me?

If so, we’ve got a trailer as well as the poster for the film. It’s probably obvious by now that I’m not digging the poster. I’ve seen the layout a million times. When I watched the trailer, the first 30-40 seconds made me think that this was a sequel to THE IN-CROWD or some lifetime movie that dares to be edgy. However, the remainder of the video didn’t seem all…so…bad. The film actually did fairly well at Sundance, so maybe that stoned kid can deliver after all. At least Rory Culkin is in there and Kiefer Sutherland narrates.

Synopsis:

“Based on the critically acclaimed novel by Nick McDonell, written when he was only 17 years old, Twelve is a chilling chronicle of privileged urban adolescence on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Set over spring break, the story follows White Mike, a kid with unlimited potential, who has dropped out of his senior year of high school and sells marijuana to his rich, spoiled peers. When his cousin is brutally murdered in an east Harlem project, and his best friend is arrested for the crime, White Mike is hurled on a collision course with his own destiny.”
