A Monster Calls Liam Neeson J. A. Bayona

Now that THE ORPHANAGE's J. A. Bayona has signed on to helm the follow-up to the devastatingly successful JURASSIC WORLD, buzz has been building up for his most recent feature, A MONSTER CALLS. The lush fantasy adventure is still coming this Fall, but the release date has been pushed back one week, to October 21st, presumably for a snugger Halloween release. That means it will now be pitted against OUIJA 2, so now you have an alternative genre option in case you were going against the grain and not planning on seeing the OUIJA sequel.

12-year-old Conor (Lewis MacDougall) attempts to deal with his mother’s (Felicity Jones) illness and the bullying of his classmates by escaping into a fantastical world of monsters and fairy tales that explore courage, loss, and faith.

A MONSTER CALLS also stars Liam Neeson, Toby Kebbell, Felicity Jones, and Sigourney Weaver.
