Welcome to the 10 Best Trailers of 2010. This is the 10th Annual List dating back to 2001 and my sixth year bringing it exclusively to JoBlo.com. If you visit the Trailers Page frequently, you should know my tastes quite well. Keep coming back for the rest of the year and we’ll slowly be rolling out the Top 10 one by one. Sometimes great trailers make great movies and other times they make you see awful movies. Don’t hesitate to strike back below if you think I must be completely nuts. (Also, keep in mind that some trailers that you’ve seen this year were on last year’s list.)
# 2 TRON: LEGACY
The follow up trailer to last year’s #1 trailer, TRON: LEGACY had a tough act to follow. After the graphics and the action were revealed in the teaser, this trailer had to deliver the drama and the story that were still absent. And, boy was I satisfied. I came into the world of TRON with zero awareness of the original movie. Fortunately, the filmmakers understood this and presented a new glimpse into a familiar world. The narration from Kevin Flynn brings the whole movie together without ruining the actual events. Plus, the incredible soundtrack gets a full-blown presentation that puts this trailer on the most epic of levels. If only there hadn’t been a trailer for… [to be continued].
