Who among us 80s kids didn't grow up loving THRILLER? Even if you weren't a fan of Michael Jackson, that music video was epic: Directed by John Landis in his prime, showcasing very memorable choreography, stupendous make-up and tremendous voiceover work from the great Vincent Price, it was a must-watch whenever it was on.

For the past few years, Landis has been involved in a lawsuit with the Jackson estate over the music video's royalties. That case has recently been settled, so to celebrate Landis is immediately launching into a project which will enable him to make some more dough off the legendary title: he's converting it into 3D!

According to the Daily News, Landis has secretly been working on the project for months. The plan is to release it theatrically in 3D and then put it out on Blu-ray (for the first time). The video is due in 2015.

Landis tells the paper: “It is going to reappear in a highly polished and three-dimensional way that is very exciting on the big screen.”

That's not all. The Daily News' source close to the Jackson's estate says there are more plans for Thriller. "The estate has been looking at gaming ideas, too, and ‘Thriller’ fits into the genre… It could a be a dance experience or a zombie-style,shoot-’ em-up-style movie. There are so many possibilities with this creative masterpiece.”
