John Lechago’s Bioslime becomes Contagion with a new trailer released

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

A couple of news updates regarding John Lechago’s BIO-SLIME has recently popped up online! The low budget show has changed titles in order to appease the masses across seas. That’s right, BIO-SLIME is no longer BIO-SLIME but the commonly taken CONTAGION. It’s like SILENT HILL: REVELATION all over again. A name that’s common among horror flick doesn’t necessarily make it that much better. But hey what do I know? I’m just a news writer.

According to Fangoria, who also dropped off a neat piece of artwork for CONTAGION down below, revealed that it was the filmmaker’s decision to lure international buyers at the American Film Market. Lechago commented with Fandango about the switch:

“Since then, CONTAGION was offered as the alternative title for the international market, and every buyer seemed to prefer that one,” Lechago says. “We are making a point to include ‘John Lechago’s’ in the title–not because of my raging ego, but because there are actually a few movies out there called CONTAGION, including one coming up from Steven Soderbergh. Sorry, Steven!”

Looks like simplicity sells. Check out the trailer and a piece of the artwork down below! As you watch the trailer try to figure out what the trailer reminds you of. I’m getting a SPECIES/VIRUS vibe going on here. Anyone else? Click on the image below to be re-directed to a larger image.
