Jungleland: Charlie Hunnam stars in hard-hitting trailer for fighter drama

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

I hope you're prepared for an emotional gut-punch because Paramount Pictures just dropped a hard-hitting trailer for JUNGLELAND, starring Charlie Hunnam and Jack O' Connell as two brothers forced to fight for their lives in the face of a high stakes deal gone wrong.

Directed and co-written by Max Winkler, with Theodore B. Boseman and David Branson Smith, JUNGLELAND is a love story between two brothers whose bond is tested as they hustle and scrape towards their slice of the American Dream. Stan (Charlie Hunnam, “Sons of Anarchy”) and Lion (Jack O’Connell, Unbroken) are brothers struggling to stay relevant in the underground world of bare-knuckle boxing. When Stan fails to pay back a dangerous crime boss (Jonathan Majors, “Lovecraft Country”), they’re forced to deliver an unexpected traveler (Jessica Barden, “The End of the F***ing World”) as they journey across the country for a high-stakes fighting tournament. While Stan trains Lion for the fight of his life, a series of events threaten to tear the brothers apart, but their love for one another and belief in a better life keep them going in this gripping drama that proves family pulls no punches.

JUNGLELAND stars Charlie Hunnam, Jack O'Connell, Jessica Barden Jonathan Majors, and John Cullum.

Boy, the tail-end of this year looks to be delivering a few potential tear-jerkers online and in theaters. Between this, and Ron Howard's HILLBILLY ELEGY, companies the likes of Scott and Kleenex are going to make a killing this holiday season. Will JUNGLELAND go down as another emotional powerhouse like THE WRESTLER and THE FIGHTER? We'll have to wait until November to know for sure.

JUNGLELAND arrives on Premium Video-On-Demand and for purchase on Digital November 10, 2020, from Paramount Home Entertainment.  Vertical Entertainment will release the film in over 100 theaters beginning November 6.
