Update: Justice League: New trailer tease reveals Darkseid in all his glory

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Update: Zack Snyder has unleashed a new teaser ahead of this Sunday's full trailer reveal for Zack Snyder's Justice League. The new tease gives us a great look at the iconic DC Comics villain Darkseid as well as his home planet Apokolips. Darkseid is set to play a much larger role in Snyder's much-anticipated superhero film, proving to fans once and for all that he's one of the strongest villains in the DCEU. While it remains unclear as to home much screen time Darkseid will receive in the film, fans looking forward to Snyder's superhero spectacle are likely to love every second of it.

Though brief, the new footage features Darkseid being flanked by others that dwell within the harsh environment of Apokolips, with one believed to be none other than Granny Goodness herself. Eagle-eyed viewers will also notice a series of banners brandishing the Omega symbol in the background – a mark used by the power-hungry oppressor to bring others under his influence. It all makes for quite the scene, and it won't be long before we see it all realized for a four-hour epic on HBO Max.

A black-suited Superman? Check. Wonder Woman rage? Check. Batmobile doing a wheelie? Check. Steppenwolf making crop circles? Check! The latest half minute tease for HBO Max's redux of Justice League is here ahead of the promised new trailer debuting on February 14th and it crams a lot of CGI-goodness into a short running time.

The newly minted title of the film is Zack Snyder's Justice League which does roll off the tongue a bit better than The Snyder Cut. It also cements that this is truly the vision of Snyder and not the work of He Who Shall Not Be Named (ahem, Joss Whedon).

To say that Snyder's loyal fanbase is pumped for the arrival of his version of Justice League would be the understatement of the year, and it's only February. The fact remains that Snyder's Valentine's Day trailer is likely to be the biggest of the year, with many prepared to watch the footage on a loop until the film smashes down onto HBO Max on March 18th. For real, you could try cutting the hype for this film with Darkseid's eye lasers and you still won't make a dent. How will Snyder's version differ from that of Whedon's? How much screen time will Jared Leto's Joker really get? How many razors did it take to craft Steppenwolf's new armor? We won't have to wait long for answers to these questions and more. Gird your loins, Snyder loyalists. Your time is almost nigh.
