Killer Klowns from Outer Space video game: John Massari’s theme music is now online

John Massari, who composed the score for the 1988 cult classic horror comedy Killer Klowns from Outer Space (watch it HERE), has returned to create the music for the upcoming Killer Klowns from Outer Space video game, which will be released for PC, Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series, and Xbox One sometime in 2023. While we wait for a specific release date to be announced, the main theme Massari has composed for the video game, a track called “The Darkkest Karnival” has been released online, and you can listen to it in the embed at the bottom of this article. Our friends at Bloody Disgusting were told, “This blood-pumping track pays homage to the original ‘Klown March’ recorded in 1987, while also adding darker, unexpected modern twists to its structure.”

Killer Klowns from Outer Space (the movie) was directed by Stephen Chiodo from a screenplay he wrote with his brother Charles Chiodo. Stephen and Charles also produced the film with their other brother, Edward Chiodo. It has the following synopsis: When teenagers Mike and Debbie see a comet crash outside their sleepy small town, they investigate and discover a pack of murderous aliens who look very much like circus clowns. They try to warn the local authorities, but everyone assumes their story is a prank. Meanwhile, the clowns set about harvesting and eating as many people as they can. It’s not until they kidnap Debbie that Mike decides it’s up to him to stop the clowns’ bloody rampage.

Grant Cramer, Suzanne Snyder, John Allen Nelson, Royal Dano, John Vernon, Michael S. Siegel, Peter Licassi, and Christopher Titus star.

The Killer Klowns from Outer Space video game is a multiplayer, asymmetrical (3 vs 7) horror game that pits three Klowns against seven Humans. Klowns win by capturing most – or all – of the Human citizens of Crescent Cove, while Humans win by either de-activating the Klown’s Big Top spaceship, escaping the map before time runs out, or keeping the majority of the townsfolk alive for the entire round.
