Latino spin-off will be teased during the credits of Paranormal Activity 4

JoBloJoBlo

When PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 4 opens in theaters, the end credits will feature a tease for a Latino-centric spin-off that follows the same found footage format.

Looking to capitalize on the growing Hispanic movie audience out there, the movie will center on more Catholic mythology. Bloody Disgusting reports that the film will be directed by DISTURBIA screenwriter Christopher Landon and not PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3 and 4 directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman.

I think it is an interesting idea to take this franchise and move it away from the same story it has been using for the last four movies. There has already been a Japanese version of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, so why not move it into other areas? The film will likely feature a Latino cast but will not be filmed in Spanish.

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 4 opens on October 19th.
