KIDNAPPED director Miguel Ángel Vivas's remake of the 2007 French film INSIDE is continuing to move forward. As previously announced, the remake is set to star Rachel Nichols, and now she has her first co-star, as Laura Harring has signed on to join her in the cast.
Written and directed by Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury, the original INSIDE told the story of
a recently widowed mother-to-be living in an isolated new home who receives a most unwelcome visitor: a predatory woman who will stop at nothing to snatch her unborn child. Trapped and disorientated, the young mother must unleash all her reserves of strength to protect her baby and survive the night.
[REC] co-creator Jaume Balagueró and his [REC] 2 and 4 collaborator Manu Diez have written the screenplay for the remake.
Details on Harring's INSIDE role weren't revealed, but I can definitely picture her playing the psychotic killer role originated by Béatrice Dalle in the '07 film.
Harring's previous credits include MULHOLLAND DRIVE, THE PUNISHER (2004), and SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT 3.
