Léa Seydoux Interview: No Time to Die

Guys – let me tell you something – it has been a week. As a die-hard James Bond fan, I was beyond thrilled to get a chance to participate in the No Time to Die junket. Of course, I already waxed poetic about what a thrill it was to speak to Daniel Craig and Rami Malek, but I was also pretty jazzed to talk to the rest of the gang, including the great Léa Seydoux.

One of the best actresses in the world, Seydoux, has long been a favourite of mine. She’s pretty incredible in Blue is the Warmest Color, Midnight in Paris and the upcoming The Story of My Wife. Here’s the thing, though – in SPECTRE, I never felt she was really given a ton to do as Madeline Swann. However, No Time to Die more than makes up for this, with Swann emerging as one of the best James Bond heroines ever by the time the film is over. She’s incredible in this, and sitting down with her was a thrill.

Seydoux also happens to be a super friendly, nice person, so speaking to her was a total pleasure. In our interview, she discussed the fact that when SPECTRE wrapped, she was all but certain her time in the franchise was over. She explains that, like many of us, she assumed Daniel Craig was finished playing James Bond and that even when she heard he was coming back, she never assumed she’d get the call to return. However, once you see the movie, you’ll sure be glad she did because she’s absolutely terrific in it, and her chemistry with Craig is top-notch.

Look out for even more No Time to Die interviews coming soon. I also spoke to Cary Joji Fukunaga, Jeffrey Wright and Billy Magnussen. All of those interviews are coming soon!
