Listen to samples from Hans Zimmer’s The Dark Knight Rises score!

JoBloJoBlo

It’s hard to argue the merits of what Hans Zimmer has contributed to film in the last 20 years.  He has given us sweeping scores for films like GLADIATOR, BACKDRAFT, CRIMSON TIDE, INCEPTION, TRUE ROMANCE, THE ROCK, BLACKHAWK DOWN, THE LAST SAMURAI, and THE LION KING, (for which he won an Oscar) amongst many others.  His influence is felt throughout the industry and he continues to mentor many other great composers working today.

His work on BATMAN BEGINS and THE DARK KNIGHT is some of the best of his career and the forthcoming THE DARK KNIGHT RISES will no doubt be just as impactful.  With the first two Nolan Bat-films, Zimmer worked with veteran composer James Newton Howard (I AM LEGEND, SIGNS) to formulate a truly immersive and thematic score.  This time out, though, Zimmer is flying solo and today we have a sample of the entire score (in 30 second intervals per track), which you can check out below.

Have a listen:

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES score by Hans Zimmer will be available on July 17, 2012, just prior to the film’s release on July 20, 2012.

Check out this clip of Zimmer composing THE DARK KNIGHT live…brilliant…
