While the major studios were breaking records and releasing some of the biggest films of 2019, the small and mid-sized distributors released some truly powerful films. While they may not have the range of Disney or Warner Bros, companies like A24, Lionsgate, Focus Features and others have steadily premiered some of the most innovative and powerful filmmaking in recent memory. 2020 looks to continue that trend with new films from Edgar Wright, Julius Avery, and many others. Just because the logo at the front of the film may not be as recognizable doesn't mean they don't deliver some top notch movies. So take a look at 25 films coming from studios other than the big boys in Hollywood and you will surely find a few anticipated films for the upcoming year.

Check out the full slate of releases coming from A24, STX, Focus Features, Lionsgate, United Artists, MGM, and more in 2020.
