It’s almost here people! The second season of AMC’s hit zombie drama “The Walking Dead” is just a couple short weeks away and to help get you stoked for this thing we’ve got a nice beefy update for you guys today!
First up, courtesy of the guys over at Bloody-Disgusting, we’ve got word on when that “Walking Dead” web-series is going to start! Apparently all six episodes of the web-series, directed by Greg Nicotero, will debut on Monday, October 3 at 2pm ET on amctv.com. We’ve even got a rundown for the thing:
The webisodes will give fans the opportunity to explore the back story of Hannah (Lilli Birdsell), better known as “Bicycle Girl,” the infamous zombie from Season 1, who was shot by Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) in the pilot episode and who is one of the most celebrated “walkers” from last season. Fans will learn about Hannah’s life before the apocalypse, her struggle to survive and protect her family as the world begins to fall apart, and her ultimate demise into zombie-hood.
Sounds pretty cool to me! Along with that we’ve also got a new trailer for Season 2 and a pretty awesome clip from The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed blog. The clip is something called “The Walking Dead”: Death is Life. In it we’ve got Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies) mulling why anyone would want to live in a world where “death is life.” Meanwhile, the group’s seemingly fearless leader Rick (Andrew Lincoln) reassures his wife that “there’s still a life for us, we have to still be strong enough to believe that.” Just scroll down below for a look at both videos.
AMC’s The Walking Dead captures the ongoing human drama following a zombie apocalypse. The series follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln, who are traveling in search of a safe and secure home. However, instead of the zombies, it is the living who remain that truly become the walking dead. Jon Bernthal plays Shane Walsh, Rick’s sheriff’s department partner before the apocalypse, and Sarah Wayne Callies, is Rick’s wife, Lori Grimes. Additional cast include: Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, Jeffrey DeMunn, Chandler Riggs, Iron E. Singleton and Melissa McBride. Guest stars include: Lauren Cohan (below), Scott Wilson and Pruitt Taylor Vince.
“The Walking Dead” returns to AMC in just a couple weeks on October 16th!
