Peacock‘s MacGruber series trailer is here to take no prisoners – especially if those prisoners are the dicks of bad guys. What? I’m not making this up. Watch the trailer.

Over a decade since the release of Will Forte’s cult-comedy that began its life as a Saturday Night Live sketch, MacGruber is coming back via an eight-episode series set to debut on the Peacock streaming service next month. “After rotting in prison for over a decade, America’s ultimate hero and uber patriot MacGruber is finally released,” reads the official synopsis. “His mission: to take down a mysterious villain from his past—Brigadier Commander Enos Queeth. With the entire world in the crosshairs, MacGruber must reassemble his old team, Vicki St. Elmo and Dixon Piper, in order to defeat the forces of evil.”

The MacGruber series trailer is not shy about giving fans more of what they loved about the original film and sketch series. Plus, we’ve got appearances from Sam Elliott, Laurence Fishburne, Billy Zane, Joseph Lee Anderson, Mickey Rourke, and Timothy V. Murphy to look forward to as well. Speaking as someone who has yet to experience MacGruber for himself (Yes, I’m a monster and should be fired), I think this series looks hilarious. I love me a good action hero one-liner, and MacGruber looks to deliver more stingers than Schwarzenegger and Stallone throughout their entire careers. Okay, perhaps I’m overreaching a bit here, but you have to admit that MacGruber’s dialogue is as snappy as a glitched-out Bruce on the set of Steven Spielberg’s Jaws.

In addition to his starring role, Forte serves as the TV series’ executive producer, co-showrunner, and co-writer alongside John Solomon, and The Lonely Island’s Jorma Taccone. With MacGruber (Will Forte), Vicki St. Elmo (Kristen Wiig), and Dixon Piper (Ryan Phillippe) all returning for plenty of bullet-chewing action and dick-destroying trick shots, Peacock might have hit the jackpot when they greenlit this outrageous series.
