Here’s an awesome rumor for the day.
According to a “trusted industry source” close to CHUD, it looks like Justin Theroux is being eyed for the role of Doctor Stephen Strange for the DOCTOR STRANGE flick. Here’s what the site dropped:
There’s no word on whether or not he is the only name being looked at for the part of Stephen Strange, but I am told that there is a strong interest over at the House of Lee in seeing Seamus O’Grady become the Sorcerer Supreme. In fact, if it still holds true, it’s quite possible that Theroux himself is already at work on the script.
Doctor Strange is one of my favorite characters in the Marvel universe, and Theroux is one of my favorite actors/screenwriters. Not to mention that he’s on my list, you know what I’m talking about…wink wink nudge nudge.
Be sure to remember to take it with a grain of salt. This would be part of the third phase of Marvel comic films, which would be released some time along with ANT-MAN. With that film coming out in 2015, it’s likely that it would be possibly 2016 before DOCTOR STRANGE releases, if even then.
Until something official comes out, I will be hoping that this is one rumor that turns out to be true.
