THE LAST WITCH HUNTER just got a whole lot classier.

Lionsgate has announced that Michael Caine has joined Vin Diesel and Rose Leslie in the supernatural horror film in an unidentified role. Might I presume he’ll be playing a mentor of some kind who offers sage advice and wisdom?

In The Last Witch Hunter, an immortal witch hunter (Diesel) partners with his natural enemy, a female witch, to stop the covens of NYC from unleashing a plague on humanity.

Breck Eisner (THE CRAZIES) is directing from a script by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama (DRACULA UNTOLD). Cory Goodman, D.W. Harper and Melisa Wallack also worked on the script. Mark Canton, Bernie Goldmann and Diesel are producing the movie which Samantha Vincent of One Race and Adam Goldworm are executive producing. Summit Entertainment will release THE LAST WITCH HUNTER in North America next year.
