To help Dora find the latest cast member for the upcoming live-action adventure, you gotta say Michael Pena. Can you say Michael Pena? That's right kids, the ANT-MAN and NARCOS: MEXICO star is joining the cast of DORA THE EXPLORER. As per the deal, Pena will come aboard Paramount's flesh-and-blood version of the beloved Nickelodeon TV series as Dora's father, opposite Eva Longoria, who was recently cast in the role of Dora's mother.

Starring as the teenage version of Dora for the character's big screen experience is Isabela Moner (TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT, SICARIO: DAY OF THE SALDADO), with Eugenio Derbez, Micke Moreno, Nicholas Coombe, Madeleine Madden, Adriana Barraza and Temuera Morrison polishing off the rest of the main cast.

When the character follows her trusty talking map into theaters, DORA THE EXPLORER will find herself on the verge of entering high school. As her latest odyssey unfolds. Dora, Boots (her best friend, a mischievous monkey), Diego, and a eclectic group of teens embark on a GOONIES-like excursion to save her parents all while solving an intimidating mystery behind a lost Inca civilization.

Paramount has set a date of August 2, 2019 for DORA THE EXPLORER.
