With SPLIT currently dominating the box office with an unexpected run 2017 is looking to be a year of surprise hits. But one thing that won’t be a surprise hit but a massive force-to-be-reckoned-with is the upcoming BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. The latest of the live-action Disney movies just dropped its final trailer which is full of magic, dancing, lavish production and…books. Bleh…books. Just kidding, everyone should make time for the magic of reading. What was I doing? Oh yeah, watch the trailer below!
The second I heard that rendition of the classic song come up towards the end I could just hear the money start printing. Now the quality of the movie will most likely determine the longevity the box office success, but there’s no way this movie isn’t going to make a butt-load of cash right out of the gate. The 90’s era Disney movies are what this generation is clinging to in terms of nostalgic, animated classics so they will no doubt show up in droves. The costumes and production values look great, so perhaps it could earn those dollars as a worthy adaptation. I mean, Emma Watson is capable of anything. I heard she once saved 19 puppies from a burning building, and then went on to perform a one-woman version of the opera, Don Giovanni. I may have been given wrong information.
