Captain America: Civil War to start filming next month, plus first synopsis

Collider has learned that a CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR casting notice for extras has gone out in Atlanta with an April 1st shoot date, which means production on the Marvel movie will begin in less than two weeks. An unofficial synopsis went out with the casting call, however Marvel will probably release an updated one once AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON opens on May 1st.

Following the events of Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies.

The new Spider-Man will be introduced in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, so there might be a casting announcement in the near future since filming is set to begin next month. Dylan O'Brien and Logan Lerman have both been rumored to be up for the role, however it's also been rumored that the latest big screen version of the character won't be white.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR is scheduled to hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
