Captain Marvel set to go nova at Disney California Adventure in early 2019

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Early next year, guests of Disney California Adventure theme park who're looking to fly higher, faster, futher, and more will have their chance, as it's just been announced that Carol Danvers a.k.a. Captain Marvel will touch down for a limited time at the resort where fantasies become reality. When Captain Marvel arrives, sparkle-fists and all, she'll do so alongside other Marvel characters such as Black Panther, the Dora Milaje, Spider-Man and Captain America.

In addition to her debut at Disney California Adventure, it was also recently revealed that Captain Marvel will be appearing in 2019 on the Disney Cruise Line and at Disneyland Paris. In other words, there will be plenty of opportunities for you and your loved ones to share a special moment with Marvel's newest captain of the big screen, so be sure to plan your next vacation accordingly, should you desire to bask in the glory of Carol's rad AF mohawk as well as her unique abilities.

Meanwhile, CAPTAIN MARVEL is set to explode onto the silver screen on March 8, 2019. Here's the official logline for the upcoming film:

The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.  Set in the 1990s, “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

When Marvel's first female-led cinematic adventure lifts off, the Cap herself will be played by Brie Larson (ROOM, KONG: SKULL ISLAND). Joining her for all the action, suspense, and Skrull shenanigans are Mckenna Grace (THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE), Gemma Chan (MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS, CRAZY RICH ASIANS), Jude Law (CLOSER, THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY), Samuel L. Jackson (THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT, THE HITMAN'S BODYGUARD), Lee Pace (GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, THE FALL), Ben Mendelsohn (THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, ANIMAL KINGDOM), Annette Bening (AMERICAN BEAUTY, THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT), and Djimon Hounsou (GLADIATOR, BLOOD DIAMOND), among others.

I sure hope you're ready for the age of Captain Marvel, my friends, because Carol's in charge now, and the Marvel universe is likely to never be the same. Buckle up, steel yourselves, and prepare to take flight.
