Creed 3, Jonathan Majors, Michael B. Jordan

Lovecraft Country star Jonathan Majors is set to step into the squared circle for Michael B. Jordan's Creed III. According to Deadline, Majors will play Adonis Creed's adversary in the film. Negotiations are currently underway. Jordan is set to direct Creed III for MGM for his feature directorial debut.

Majors has been polishing his Hollywood star since his breakout role in 2019's The Last Black Man in San Francisco. After appearing in such films as Captive State, Gully, and Jungleland, Majors landed a role beside Delroy Lindo and the late Chadwick Boseman in Spike Lee's Da 5 Bloods. Meanwhile, in TV Land, Majors landed a starring role in the Eldridge horror series Lovecraft Country. The supernatural series was critically acclaimed and helped cement Majors as a leading man. Even Marvel Studios has taken notice of his talents and has cast him as Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Kang is a major villain in Marvel Comics, with the potential for Majors to reprise the role over multiple films.

Once the deal for Majors to join Creed III is done, he'll be joining Tessa Thompson and Phylicia Rashad for the sequel. Disappointingly, Sylvester Stallone will not be returning as Rocky Balboa for the next chapter of Adonis Creed's career.
