Disney sets release dates for five Marvel films through 2023

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Over the last eleven years, the MCU has been the king of long range planning, laying claim to release dates like Thor lays claim to his hammer. This past summer at Comic Con, Disney laid out its plans for a slew of upcoming Marvel projects including THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER and SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS. Well the House of Mouse is at it again as they've just set five new dates for five untitled Marvel films.

The five dates in question are as  follows:

October 7, 2022

February 17, 2023

May 5, 2023

July 28, 2023

November 3, 2023

As I said all of these dates are for as yet untitled Marvel movies. However, we do know that certain properties such as BLADE, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3, and a third ANT-MAN film are all in the works. If I had to guess I would say GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 would be in the May 5, 2023 slot and the third ANT-MAN film would be July 28, 2023. This is just going off the release dates for the last two films in the respective series. Also I suspect BLADE might be in that February 17, 2023 slot.

Additionally, in case you're not counting from home, Disney will be releasing four Marvel films apiece in both 2022 and 2023. Anyone else feel like that's a little much? Don't get me wrong I love Marvel movies as much as the next guy, but four films a year is pushing it.

What about you guys? Any thoughts as to what films might be in these slots? Are four Marvel films too much for one year? Let us know in the comments below.
