First look at Bad Boys for Life finds Smith, Lawrence back in action

After years of failing to get it off the ground, the third BAD BOYS movie – BAD BOYS FOR LIFE – is in full production and being cranked out at top speed. Star Will Smith isn’t hesitating in sharing new BTS pics and videos, and this morning shared the first look at both he and Martin Lawrence back in action and flashing the badges. As you can see, they have lost zero of that BAD spirit.

Smith has taken to his Instagram before to tease the start of shooting, but this comes as the first full look at the characters in their chaos-inducing roles of Mike Lowrey (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence). The first look at the movie comes in the form of short boomerang post with the song “Bad Boys for Life” by one P. Diddy (here's a link to the music video featuring Ben Stiller) playing over it. Seems appropriate.

The new movie took years to get going, but things took a big step forward when directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah signed on for the project – taking over for Michael Bay from the first two movies. We still aren’t sure about the story or character details, but what more do you need to know? There’s probably some shady business going down and only the duo of Lowrey and Burnett can stop it and will do so in as wild and destructive a way as possible. What more do you need?

This movie took so long to get going it got to the point where it was a "believe it when I see it" deal. But guess what? Now you can see the proof, and the movie is less than a year away. How crazy is that? We've gone too long without the duo taking action to the street and passing banter back and forth while doing it, so this year will be a good one simply for all the new pictures, posters and trailers we'll get for the new flick. Ah, what gifts you have in store, 2019. 

BAD BOYS FOR LIFE hits theaters January 17, 2020.
