School will soon be in session, once again, for SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING star Zendaya, as HBO has ordered a new drama to series starring the actress titled EUPHORIA. Based on the Israeli series of the same name from HOT that was created by Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin, EUPHORIA centers on a group of high school students as they navigate drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love and friendship. As an added bonus for fans of the original, Leshem and Levin will serve as executive producers on HBO's version.

For the show, Zendaya will slip into the lead role of Rue. Joining her for all of the high school drama will be Maude Apatow (THIS IS 40) as Lexi, Brian “Astro” Bradley (RED BAND SOCIETY) as McKay, Angus Cloud as Fezco, Eric Dane (FEAST) as Cal, Alexa Demie as Maddy, Jacob Elordi as Nate, Barbie Ferreira as Kat, Nika King as Leslie, Storm Reid as Gia, Hunter Schafer as Jules, and Sydney Sweeney as Cassie. When the bell rings for EUPHORIA, musical icons Drake and Future the Prince will board the project as first-time producers on a television project.

On Monday, Zendaya released a teaser for the series via her Twitter account, which you can watch for yourself below:

EUPHORIA is being developed and written for HBO by Sam Levinson (ASSASSINATION NATION), with production by indie studio A24.
