John Wick Wishes You a Happy National Puppy Day

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Here's a video you didn't know you needed. John Wick, renowned hitman and dog whisperer has teamed up with Lionsgate to bring us a touching video about two strays, just looking for their way home. That's right, an entire video has been compiled purely of moments between scruffy Keanu Reeves and his loving four-legged friend, and it is everything you need to start your weekend properly.

Founded in 2006 by the author Colleen Paige, and adopted by other groups and organizations since, the idea of National Puppy Day is to focus attention on puppies in need of adoption and the abuses found in puppy mills. However, the newly founded tradition is almost meant to help celebrate these furry little companions, and the fact that millions have already taken to Twitter and Instagram to reveal pictures of their best pals is giving me all of the feels.

Directed by stuntman-turned-filmmaker Chad Stahelski, JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3 – PARABELLUM finds super-assassin John Wick on the run after killing a member of the international assassin's guild, and with a $14 million price tag on his head – he is the target of hit men and women everywhere.

Based on Stahelski's previous installments, I'd say we have quite a crazy amount of blood, hand-to-hand combat, creatively conceived headshots and some truly ridiculously glorious, completely over-the-top ultraviolence headed our way in the very near future. Plus, John Wick riding a horse through bustling, rain-drenched streets heightened by a vibrant neon palette? Count. Me. In.

Along with Reeves reprising his role as the man in black, JOHN WICK 3 also stars Ian McShane as Winston, Asia Kate Dillon as The Adjudicator, Jerome Flynn as Berrada, Halle Berry as Sofia, Jason Mantzoukas as Tick Tock Man, Laurence Fishburne as Bowery King, Lance Reddick as Charon, Mark Dacascos as Zero, and Anjelica Huston as The Director.

Check out the brand new trailer for JOHN WICK 3 below, and make sure to catch the film when it crash lands into theaters on May 17th.
