Mark Ruffalo says that the Hulk will get the mo-cap treatment in The Avengers

Are you tired of seeing the usual CGI Hulk?

Well, it looks like that’s going to be changing according to the new Bruce Banner, Mark Ruffalo.

Ruffalo told Vulture last night that he would actually get to play the character, “I’m really excited. No one’s ever played the Hulk exactly, they’ve always done CGI. They’re going to do the Avatar stop-action, stop-motion capture. So I’ll actually play the Hulk. That’ll be fun.” He sounds a little confused with the whole “stop-action, stop-motion” capture, but we get what he’s saying with the AVATAR reference.

He’s actually really excited to play Banner, “I really love the first TV version of it, the Bill Bixby one. I’m gonna shoot for that a little bit. He was an everyman in it. He’s always on the run and trying to find love. It’s really a sympathetic character, before he turns into the Hulk and fucks everything up.”

To end on a funny note, Ruffalo said that he would be the first Hulk in 3D, “I hope I don’t bulge in anyone’s face, that’s all I have to say.” Um…

Yes please. That is all.
