Marvel’s What If…? teaser trailer assembles bold new adventures

As unpredictable as the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been for more than a decade, it's about to get even more outrageous. Today, we've got a new teaser trailer for Marvel Studios' What If…?, an animated series that takes the universe in bold new directions. The series takes legendary Marvel characters and reimagines them for new stories that embrace the impossible and ask the important question: What happens when the Multiverse explodes, thereby changing significant events throughout the Marvel Universe forever?

The trailer features many of your favorite characters in all-new adventures, from Peggy Carter to Killmonger, Shuri, Gamora, and more.  Each character has been reimagined for this animated anthology directed by Bryan Andrews, with AC Bradley as head writer. In addition to displaying a unique GCI-animated look for each story, the series features voice appearances from many of your favorite Marvel stars, including Hayley Atwell, Karen Gillan, Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeff Goldblum, Michael Douglas, Frank Grillo, Josh Brolin, and Tom Hiddleston, in addition to several others. I'm sure I won't be the only one who tears up at the sound of Chadwick Boseman providing the voice for T'challah for this exciting presentation.

I fully admit to being a "Marvel zombie," I love the characters, stories, and action so much that I'm willing to give anything a chance. For me, What If…? looks like an engaging odyssey into the unknown. As someone who reads countless Marvel comics every week, I think it'll be fun to see some of my favorite characters in bizarre new roles. I'm all about variety, and this series looks to have that in spades. Let's do it!
