Not long after a brief teaser trailer for DC's upcoming virtual event, DC Fandome, was unleashed online, director James Gunn shared a batch of official title treatments for his upcoming superhero film, THE SUICIDE SQUAD.

In addition to showcasing the official logo for a number of different territories, Gunn also teased that he and the cast have "so much more" to show fans on August 22nd, which is the day that DC Fandome is scheduled to take place.

Back in March, Gunn revealed that THE SUICIDE SQUAD will favor practical effects over CGI. "There are more practical effects and sets in this film than any big-budget comic book film ever," Gunn explained when responding to fan questions via Twitter. "CGI’s important. But I used practical effects whenever possible with #TheSuicideSquad – including the biggest, most beautiful sets I’ve ever seen by Beth Mickle, real locations, real costumes by Judianna Makovsky, pyrotechnics by Dan Sudick, prosthetic effects by Legacy & more."

Written and directed by James Gunn, THE SUICIDE SQUAD stars a murderers' row of talent with Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, David Dastmalchian, John Cena, Joaquin Cosio, Nathan Fillion, Mayling Ng, Flula Borg, Sean Gunn, Juan Diego Botto, Storm Reid, Pete Davidson, Taika Waititi, Alice Braga, Steve Agee, Tinashe Kajese, Daniela Melchior, Peter Capaldi, Julio Ruiz, Jennifer Holland, Idris Elba, and Michael Rooker all locked and loaded for the soft reboot of Task Force X in the DCEU.

Recently, Gunn debunked a rumor that Poison Ivy would appear in the upcoming movie that's chock full o' anti-hero antics. In short, a fan has asked Gunn if the rumors of Ivy being cast were true, to which he replied, "It's not true. It's BS like most stuff off this particular site."

We'll have to wait until August 22 for more details related to James Gunn's THE SUICIDE SQUAD, but for now, let's all speculate wildly about what could be revealed! Do you think a teaser trailer is on the way? A full trailer, perhaps? Will fans be treated to an in-depth Q & A about the movie? With so much mystery surrounding the event, it feels like the sky's the limit at this particular point in time. One thing's for sure, we'll be tuning in, and will be happy to bring you all the details as they come about. Stay tuned, folks!
