The official synopsis for J.J. Abrams’ super-secretive SUPER 8 has finally been put out by Paramount. And funny enough, it still doesn’t really give us much to go on that we haven’t already surmised from previous reports. Abrams, you crafty fellow!
The good thing, though, is that this should tied you over till later today if you’re heading out to go see BATTLE: LOS ANGELES in theaters. The first full trailer for Abrams’ Spielbergian homage will reportedly be attached to prints of that film.
SUPER 8 – starring Elle Fanning, Kyle Chandler, Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich, Joel Courtney, Zach Mills, Gabriel Basson, Ryan Lee, and Amanda Michalka – unspools everywhere June 10th.
Synopsis: In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth – something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.
