Rumor: Michael B. Jordan has officially signed on to play Human Torch in Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four

Like Aaron Taylor-Johnson possibly playing Quicksilver in THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, Michael B. Jordan has been rumored to play Johnny Storm AKA Human Torch for months, with nothing official coming from Fox saying the actor will appear in Josh Trank's reboot. Still no word from the studio (thus the word "rumor" in the headline), but according to Schmoes Know, Jordan has agreed to star in THE FANTASTIC FOUR. A source from Michael B. Jordan's agency has told the site that he has indeed signed on to play Human Torch for Fox.

Michael B. Jordan is currently one of the most in demand young actors working today. The FRUITVALE STATION star has also been rumored for a part in STAR WARS: EPISODE VII, and he might play Apollo Creed's grandson in the ROCKY spin-off CREED. Jordan previously worked with Josh Trank on CHRONICLE, and many expected him to reteam with the director for THE FANTASTIC FOUR, so it's been a matter of "when" and not "if" the actor would officially sign. But we can't call this a lock until we hear something from Fox, and I wouldn't be surprised if we heard something from the studio later today.

But who will be joining Michael B. Jordan, if he has signed on? The latest rumor was several actors had tested for Mr. Fantastic (Kit Harington, Miles Teller, Jack O'Connell) and Sue Storm (Kate Mara, Saoirse Ronan, Margot Robbie), and Terry Crews has expressed interest in playing The Thing. Who would you like to see star with Michael B. Jordan in THE FANTASTIC FOUR?

THE FANTASTIC FOUR is scheduled to hit theaters on March 6th, 2015.
